The Design Process

01

DESIGN INQUIRY

The first step in your experience with Violet Mae Interiors starts by filling out our project inquiry form. This is where you’ll share your wants, needs, and a little bit about yourself and your space. It gives us an early glimpse into your vision and helps us understand where you’re looking for support — setting the foundation for a smooth, collaborative, and inspiring design journey from the very beginning.

02

DISCOVERY CALL

Our next step after reviewing your design inquiry is to connect with you via phone, text, or email based on the contact information you provided. We prefer a phone call when possible, as it helps us build a personal connection and better understand your vision.During this conversation, we’ll go over important details such as your design goals, budget, and timeline. We’ll also ask a few tailored questions — your responses help us learn more about your style, priorities, and personality so we can bring your vision to life.

After our call, we’ll schedule an in-home consultation — a crucial step in creating a thoughtful, personalized design. Meeting face-to-face helps us build a stronger connection, and seeing your space in person allows us to begin visualizing layout ideas and aesthetics.During the visit, we’ll take detailed notes and measurements, observe how you currently use the space, and get a feel for your style and personality. This hands-on experience is key to crafting a design that truly fits your needs and vision.

IN-HOME CONSULTATION

04

DESIGN PROPOSAL

After our consultation, our team will develop a personalized design concept tailored to your space — incorporating your needs, style, and vision. We’ll create a custom project proposal with thoughtful attention to every detail, showcasing fabric selections, material options, 3D renderings, and a full design presentation.Following this discussion (either in person or virtually), we encourage you to take some time to review the proposal thoroughly. Please feel free to reach out with any questions, concerns, or ideas you'd like to discuss — we’re here to collaborate with you every step of the way.We understand that hiring a designer is a meaningful and personal decision, and we want you to feel completely confident before moving forward. Once you're ready, we'll send over a Letter of Agreement to officially kick off the design process!

Meet the Team

Hi there!

I am Lizzy Kudick the founder and CEO of  Violet Mae Interiors

Proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point, driven by passion to create and backed by years of hands-on experience in the field. I’ve always had a deep appreciation for beautiful homes, architecture, and the process of designing. I was drawn to the way spaces could reflect personality and bring people comfort.

When I was 12, we unexpectedly lost our home to a fire and had to rebuild everything from the ground up. So seventh-grade me took it upon herself and claimed a new title: 'Miss Lead Designer'. Ironicially, I ended up worked with designers and architects throughout the process of creating our new family home — and that’s when I realized this “fun little hobby” could become something much more. It sparked a dream, and since then, working in the field has only deepened my passion for interior design.

Today, I’m grateful to turn that passion into purpose. I love building lifelong relationships with clients and helping them bring their dream spaces to life.

I’m Myles Coleman, Head of Operations and Managing Partner here at Violet Mae Interiors.
